Here are 5 common car problems you can safely tackle at home — and when to call in the pros.

    1. Dead Battery That Just Needs a Jump

If your car clicks but won’t start, it could be a drained battery — not a dead one. You can safely jump-start your vehicle with a good set of jumper cables and another car (or jump pack).
Tip: Always connect the black cable to a clean, unpainted metal surface to avoid sparks.

    2. Low Tire Pressure or a Slow Leak

That tire pressure light doesn’t always mean disaster. In Florida’s heat, tire pressure fluctuates daily. Grab a $20 digital gauge and a portable inflator to top off your tires.
When to call us: If it keeps going flat, you likely have a puncture or valve issue. We handle mobile flat repairs on-site.

    3. Loose Battery Terminals

Many “dead battery” calls we get are really just loose or corroded terminals. If your car randomly loses power, check the battery connections — they should be tight and clean.
Quick fix: Clean corrosion with baking soda and water.

    4. Blown Fuses (AC, Radio, Lights)

Suddenly lose AC, lights, or a radio? Could be a fuse. Your fuse box is usually under the hood or near the glovebox.
Look for: A broken wire inside the fuse. Replace it with one of the same amp rating (they cost less than $1).

    5. Dirty Air Filter

If your car hesitates when accelerating or smells musty inside, check your air filter (and cabin filter). It takes 2 minutes and can improve fuel economy and air quality.
Pro tip: Hold it up to the light — if you can’t see through it, replace it.

🚨 When to Call a Mechanic

If you’re seeing leaking fluids, hearing grinding noises, or your engine light is flashing — don’t guess. Mobile diagnostics are what we do every day.
